Jerejak Island Nightmare part 1

Saturday 5th September 2009 - A day that the LONER wishes to erase from his memory. It is a hard earned weekend but was ruined by a ridiculous trip (if u ask me i wouldn't even call it a trip)

It began few days back when the message asking us to join the trip organized by the aerospace juniors. The only activity the LONER was attracted to is the archery which is the only reason why he signed up. The rest like flying fox and rock climbing look interesting too but dun really cared even if he didn't played.

So on that day, they agreed to meet at 7.20am, depart on 7.30am. LONER arrived on 7.15am (punctual international standard) to find NO ONE at the gathering point. Ended up we departed at 8am (hardcore Malaysian timing). Reached the Jerejak Ferry station around 8.30am. But the ferry only arrived at 9.45am.

They arrived there without accident (now LONER was really hoping for the ferry to just sink so they can turn back and go shopping in queensbay mall which is just across the island =P). In the morning the activity was rock climbing. It was his first time experience. When it was his turn, it started pretty well but about half-way, one of the footings are to high for his left leg to reach. So LONER turned and looked for a footing for his right leg instead but no suitable place. So he had no choice but to give up and climb back down (He's not exhausted, he calculated he can climb up and back down himself). But he forgot the whole duration that there is a safety rope tied to him. When he tried to climb down he got stuck and then only he recalled about the rope (when we reached the top we were lifted down using the rope).

After that activity, he spent his time watching a bunch of monkeys playing in the pool. They go around bullying and robbing shorts from the weaker members before throwing it around like the monkeys they are. The victim will be running around the pool chasing after its pants like a headless chicken XD

Then lunch. Throughout the trip they were joined by a Swedish guy. During the lunch LONER and a few other guys sat there chatting with him.
